Roger Lee Stotler, Sr.

1947-2024

Roger Lee Stotler, Sr., age 76, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, April 8, 2024 at War Memorial Hospital.

Born September 22, 1947 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ray Melvin Stotler, Sr. and Anna Rose Maconaughey Stotler.

He was a member of Hancock Assembly of God, where he was a Royal Rangers advisor.

Roger was a 1975 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He worked as an assembler with Fleetwood Industries for 33 years and retired as a custodian with the Washington County Schools. Roger served as a coach with the Morgan County Little League for many years. He enjoyed hunting, watching westerns and going trout fishing.

Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Diane Bechtol Stotler, at home, two children, Kimberly Ann Stotler Smith and her husband, Dan and Roger Lee Stotler, Jr. and his wife, Melody, all of Berkeley Springs, two sisters, Melvie Randall of Martinsburg, W.Va., Patricia Weller of Moorefield, W.Va., one brother, Melvin Stotler, six grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel, Matthew, Caleb, Kara and Courtney and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Willey and Mary Ellen Stotler.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastors Chris Basham and Donald Preston officiated. Burial was in Spohrs Crossroads. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
