Chamber & Blue Ridge to host array of business seminars

The Berkeley Springs-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and Blue Ridge Community & Technical College have announced their first round of classes for 2024.

These interesting and informative seminars are free for West Virginia residents or those who work for West Virginia businesses and will be held at Blue Ridge Community & Technical College at the Pines Opportunity Center in Berkeley Springs.

“Event Planning” will be Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., April 11 – May 16.  Event planning may range from a simple cocktail party to a large conference. Every event has one thing in common… planning. Without successful planning, events are much more likely to fail.  Join Tiffany Hine to travel through the process of planning for any size or type of event. Previous planning experience is not required. This event is ideal for hospitality staff, business owners, event vendors, and anyone who might be interested in the subject.

“Artificial Intelligence for Small Business and Hospitality” will be Wednesday, April 24 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Instructor Moises Cardenas will share a comprehensive exploration of artificial intelligence’s role in revolutionizing small businesses and the hospitality industry. Engage in interactive sessions showcasing AI tools for customer service enhancement, predictive analytics, and operational efficiencies.  Experience firsthand the impact of AI in personalizing customer experiences and improving decision-making processes.  And, learn to use AI technologies to analyze customer data, improve service delivery, and strategize marketing efforts, providing you with valuable, real-world AI application skills.

“Digital Marketing for Small Business and Hospitality” will be Wednesday, May 1,  from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Moises Cardenas has spent more than ten years in the industry as a digital marketing expert.  This course is designed to empower small businesses and hospitality professionals with cutting-edge digital marketing strategies, emphasizing the use of smartphones for content creation.  Delve into social media marketing, creating engaging campaigns using easily accessible tools.  Learn basic SEO principles tailored for the hospitality businesses and engage in creating compelling video content with smartphones.  Absorb new techniques in the special segment “Selling with Cell: Smartphone Mastery,” teaching effective techniques for creating high-quality marketing content using just a cellphone, making digital marketing more accessible and efficient.

All classes listed are free to West Virginia residents or those who work for West Virginia businesses.  Funding provided to qualified West Virginia Residents through the WVCTCS Hospitality Grant received by Blue Ridge CTC.  Others are welcome for a small fee.
