Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports and it will be available to play at the David Henry
Memorial Park on Biser Street in Berkeley Springs.
Morgan County Parks & Rec appointee Matt Pennington, who represents the Town of Bath, said the
Biser Street courts are getting a facelift.
At the March 19 Bath Town Council meeting, Pennington said the tennis courts and basketball courts will be resurfaced. Three of the tennis court nets will be replaced with pickleball nets, which are lower.
The regulation size of the pickleball court for both singles and doubles is 20 feet by 44 feet, the same size as a double’s badminton court.
Pennington said most people now play tennis on the Warm Springs Middle School courts located next to its soccer field.
When the pickleball courts are ready to be open at Biser Street, Pennington said it will be advertised to let the public know.
Pickleball will be a nice addition to the Biser Street Park, he said.
