Morgan County Schools’ Regional Science Fair winners attended the State Science Fair at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston on Monday, March 4.
Students were escorted to Charleston by their families and performed well at the competition.
All three students brought home awards.
Isabella Powell, 7th grader from Warm Springs Middle School, won first place in Division II, Energy for her project, “How Does Water Flow Affect Hydroelectric Power Generation?”
Harlan Fravel, 6th grader from Paw Paw Schools, won first place in Division II, Chemistry, for his project “Rethink your Drink.”
Joselyn Smith, 9th grader from Paw Paw High School, won second place in Division III, Animal Sciences for her project “Operation Ant Elimination.”
