Bernice Maxine Nelson

Bernice Maxine Nelson, 91, of Paw Paw, West Virginia passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was a resident of English Meadows Senior Living in Crozet, Virginia.
Bernice was born November 7, 1932 at Paw Paw to the late Edward Bruce Gulbronson and Pansy Virginia (Ryan) Gulbronson.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman Edward Nelson, and her brothers, Don Franklin Gulbronson and Neil Kyle Gulbronson.
She is survived by her son Lehman Edward Nelson, Jr. and his wife, Linda Kay (Slider) Nelson; three granddaughters, Laura Oetgen and her husband, William, Kara Nelson and Kayla Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Nora and Everett Oetgen; her sister, Janet Catlett and her husband, Denny; her sister-in-law, Carole Gulbronson and several nieces and nephews.
Bernice was most happy when she was with her family. She especially enjoyed spending holidays with her grandchildren.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, and on Saturday, March 9 from 12-1 p.m., at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, where a funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Interment was at Camp Hill Cemetery in Paw Paw.
