Donald Linwood Alexander
1964-2023
Donald Linwood Alexander, age 59, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Care Facility in Kearneysville, W.Va. after a short battle with cancer.
Born April 6, 1964 in Johnstown, Pa., he was the son of June Jeanette Whisner Alexander of Berkeley Springs and the late Alvin Leroy Alexander, Sr.
He attended Berkeley Baptist Church.
Donald was a 1982 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
He had worked as a custodian with the Sideling Hill Scenic Welcome Center.
Donald was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Washington Commanders, Baltimore Orioles and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He enjoyed playing the 5 crowns card game, working on puzzles and picking on his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by his siblings, Cynthia Kay Alexander of Martinsburg, W.Va., Ruth Janette Fuller of Boonsboro, Md., Alvin Leroy Alexander, Jr. of Weyers Cave, Va., Lynn Eva McIntire and Kenneth Ray Alexander, both of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Joey Giles officiated. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery.
The family received friends on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
