Lady Indians volleyball comes back to stun Grafton

by Jamie Harris

Last Tuesday, October 10, the Berkeley Springs Lady Indians volleyball team hit the road for a long trip to Grafton. The Lady Indians were looking to pick up a sectional win and win number three of the season.

Things looked bleak for the Lady Indians as the Bearcats picked up wins in the first two sets. On the brink of los- ing the contest, Berkeley Springs rallied. Storming back the Lady Indians won the next two sets to set up the pivotal fifth game. Once again, the Lady Indians showed their toughness and won an exciting fifth set to stun the home team Bearcats 3-2.

On Thursday, October 5 the Lady Indians hosted Lighthouse Christian Academy. Berkeley Springs was able to sweep LCA 3-0 to record the win.

No stats for these games were available.

Berkeley Springs (3-14) will travel to county rival Paw Paw on Thursday, October 19 for a 6 p.m., contest with the Pirates.
