Great Cacapon man remains in jail after 911 call

Police responded to a 911 call from the 400 block of Hammond Street in Great Cacapon on Saturday, July 8 around midnight for a domestic in progress.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Morgan County Sheriff’ s Deputy Burkholder, the suspect, identified as Justin M. Hanlin, 41, of Great Cacapon, stood in the doorway, attempting to prevent the officer from talking to the victim inside.

Deputy Burkholder then pushed past Hanlin to check on the safety of anyone in the residence.

Hanlin was arrested and charged with domestic battery and obstruction. He remains incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail awaiting a hearing.
