Berkeley Springs FFA alumni group forms to support student members

Over the last couple months, a number of local professionals, ag business owners, and former Vocational Ag students along with current FFA members and local FFA advisor and High School teacher Dave Aberegg have been working to charter a local Berkeley Springs FFA Alumni Association to support and aid the local Berkeley Springs High School FFA.

“FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education,” said Alumni group organizer Brad Michael.   “FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.”

Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.

On March 9, numerous members from the community met to establish the Berkeley Springs FFA Alumni Chapter.

The goal of the Alumni Chapter is to support local High School students involved in FFA.  The Alumni group will support the local FFA Chapter by providing technical and financial support for leadership development, networking, education, and hands on opportunities.
