Dollie Nora Spencer
1931-2022
Dollie Nora Spencer, 91, of Paw Paw, W.Va. died Thursday, December 16, 2022 at UPMC in Cumberland, Maryland.
She was born September 24, 1931 in Paw Paw to the late David Marcellus Anderson and Jane Creo (Brumback) Anderson.
Her husband, Charles A. Spencer, Jr., died in 1997.
Dollie had worked at Consolidated Orchards and was a caretaker.
She was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Gilbert L. Spencer of Paw Paw and Norman Spencer of The Lions Center, Cumberland Md.; two daughters, Dixie Dennis (husband, Greg) of Anaheim, Calif. and Betty Green of Hagerstown, Md.; four sisters, Candy Williams of Warren, Ohio, Joann Stoutamire of Warren, Ohio, Rose Bell of Warren, Ohio and Maxine Craig of Warren, Ohio; one brother, James Anderson of Warren, Ohio; a number of grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Missy Brown of Arizona, whom she raised like a daughter, and a special grandson, Anthony Tony Spencer of Martinsburg, whom she raised like a son and a number of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, one daughter, five sisters and three brothers.
A funeral service was held Sunday, December 18 at 2 p.m. at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Pastor Darlene Powers officiating. Interment was at Camp Hill Cemetery at Paw Paw.
