1933-2022

Rosalie M. McNeer, 89, Pipestem, W.Va., passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at E. A. Hawse Health Center, in Baker, W.Va.

Born March 5, 1933, in Buck Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Hazel Hull Ray, and the widow of Newton Bishop and Richard McNeer.

She was of Protestant Faith.

She was employed by London Fog Manufacturing and Hepburn Orchards, in Hancock, Md.

She loved her dogs, Tiny, Goldie and Daisy.

She is survived by one grandson, Terry Farris, Ohio; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Leroy Ray, wife Georgetta, Melbourne, Fla., Enos Ray, wife Linda, Hancock, Md., Jerry Ray, Hancock, Md., James ‘Wompy’ Ray, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a sister, Carolyn Keefer, husband Bernard, Falling Waters, W.Va..; one son-in-law, David Keefer, Hancock, Md. and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Hull Keefer; a brother, Ervin Ray; and sisters-in-law, Sandy Ray and Sylvia Ray.

The family received friends, Monday, October 3, 2022, 6-8 p.m., at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Md. Funeral service was held at the funeral home Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Enos Ray officiated. Burial followed service at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md.
