The Herbert A. Young Scholarship fund is seeking donations for their annual scholarship that will be given to a senior member of the Hancock High School Band.
Young was a long time band teacher at the school from 1965 until 1990.

The scholarship was designed to honor the memory of Young’s 52-year career as a band director.
Each year, when there are eligible students, the Fund awards a senior band member who is chosen by Band Director Susan Mott during the band’s Spring Concert.
This year’s concert will take place on — at –. The scholarship, along with other awards, will be presented during the concert.
The Spring Concert will be held Thursday, May 12, at the Hancock High School Auditorium.
Band Director Susan Mott said the night is going to be “a really neat night” as it will be a multicultural night and world music concert all in one.
“It’s going to be a really cool event,” she said.
