Located about a mile and half from the original hospital, which opened as The Pines in 1934, the modern War Memorial Hospital opened at 1 Healthy Way in Berkeley Springs on April 28, 2012.

“I remember just a week before the dedication ceremony we had snow,

The Pines became War Memorial Hospital in 1947, and was later acquired by Valley Health in 2010. It is one of six hospitals owned by Valley Health of Winchester.

War Memorial Hospital was built for $30 million in 2012. It sits on just over 80 acres, which include a helipad and ample parking.
