Ruth Marie Bowers
1952-2022
Ruth Marie Bowers, 69, of Winchester, Va., formerly of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Blue Ridge Hospice of Winchester, Va.
Born in Morgan County, W.Va., August 13, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Glenna Bowers.
Ruth was a graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester, Va.
She worked many years in the restaurant business at places like Midway Truckstop, English Muffin, the Stonehouse Restaurant and the Berkeley Springs Bowlerama. Many of those years she worked along side her mother.
She loved going to bingo, playing dominoes and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Lenny Bowers.
Surviving are two sons, Robbie Bowers of Berkeley Springs and Travis Bowers of Winchester; two brothers, Douglas Bernhard of Winchester and Randy Bowers of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Mary Ours of Berkeley Springs and Penny Baxter of Winchester; two grandchildren, Chase Bowers of Chambersburg, Pa. and Jadyn Spillman of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
