Priscilla Corbin and Dalton Kasekamp lead Paw Paw Track at Keyser

Donovan Tanouye placed sixth in the 800 meters.

Priscilla Corbin was first with a jump of 12’7”.

The Paw Paw High School Track and Field Teams was back in action last week with a meet at Keyser on Thursday, April 7.

The Lady Pirates finished in fourth place with 17.50 points. Frankfort 169.50, Keyser 96 and Petersburg 45 rounded out the top three teams. Place winners for Paw Paw were: 400 Meters- Priscilla Corbin (fourth place, 1:10), 800 Meters-Miah Smith (fifth place, 3:05), Shot Put-Myley Mullins (fifth place, 21’4”), Long Jump- Priscilla Corbin (1st place,

12’ 7”) and Miah Smith (2nd place, 12’4”).

On the boys side the Pirates scored 14 points behind their thrower Dalton Kasekamp. Kasekamp took first place in the discus with a throw of 129’10”. Kasekamp then picked up a second place finish in the shot with a throw of 41’6”.

Also doing well, but not able to place was freshman standout Donovan Tanouye. Tanouye was sixth in the long jump (16’ 4 1⁄2”), sixth in the 800 meters (2:18) and eighth in the 1600 meters (5:04).
