Hancock students were challenged to raise almost $2,100 with their spare change over the last couple weeks. The Pennies for Patients program ran from November 29 though December 17 and in that short amount of time, those students shattered their goal.
The initial goal for 2021 was $2,095.35, which was the average for the last 14 years.
This year people stepped up and donated $3,567.65, shattering the goal by $1,472.40.
