Paw Paw fields two Little League teams this season

Young ball players from Paw Paw will spend more time on the field this spring, playing both at home and on the road as part of the Hampshire County Little League.

Paw Paw has two teams this spring – a tee ball group and a coach-pitch, or coach ball, team.  Team play will be split between Paw Paw’s home field and Romney.

Tee ballers are set to play at Paw Paw this Friday, April 22 at 6 p.m. against the Phillies. They’ll travel to Romney to play on Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. May games will be played at home on Tuesday, May 17; Monday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 25, all at 6 p.m. The Tee Ball head coach is Ricki Armel and the assistant coach is Brittany Armel.

Coach ball players will split their games among the Paw Paw home field, Romney and Capon Bridge. Paw Paw will play in Capon Bridge against the Indians this Friday, April 22 at 6 p.m. They’ll head to Romney to play on Saturday, April 23 at 11 a.m. and then return to Capon Bridge on Wednesday, April 27 at 6 p.m. Paw Paw will spend most of their May games at home, with play set for May 2, May 4 and May 16 in Paw Paw at 6 p.m. Players will travel to Capon Bridge on May 13, also at 6 p.m. C-ball coaches are Ernest Swartz, head coach, and assistant coach Devin Abe.

Paw Paw’s Tee Ball team includes (not in order) Blakelynn Armel, Ryleigh Paul, Callie Jenkins, James Brandenburg, Noah Bohrer, Charlotte Abe, Emberlee Abe and Brandon Robertson. Standing are head coach Ricki Armel and assistant coach Brittany Armel.
