The Berkeley Springs High School Lady Indians Volleyball Team traveled to Pennsylvania to play the Southern Fulton Indians on Monday, October 4. The Lady Indians from Morgan County quickly took control of the contest as they rolled to a 25-8 first set win. In the second set Berkeley Springs continued their dominant play as they took game two by a score of 25-20. In the third and final set the Lady Indians rolled to a 25-4 win.
Ally Morris (12 points, five aces, four kills, 14 assists and 10 digs), Luna De Plano’s Fernandez (seven points, four aces, eight kills and two digs), Lydia Fincham (nine points, three aces, three kills and five assists) and Jenna Tuttle (10 service points, one kill and three digs) led the way.
The Lady Indians hit the road again on Tuesday, October 5 for a trip to Hampshire High School. In the first set the Lady Indians took the 26-24 win. Hampshire rallied and won the next three sets (25-17, 25-21 and 25-11) to take the 3-1 win over Berkeley Springs.
Berkeley Springs was led by Tuttle (13 points, one ace, six kills and nine digs), Ally Morris (18 points, five aces, two kills, 14 assists and 18 digs), Fincham (10 points, one ace, four kills and seven digs) and Ocean Clatterbuck (eight points, one ace and five digs).
The Lady Indians had a Friday night showdown with the Paw Paw Lady Pirates in the Annual Dig Pink Game on October 8 at Paw Paw. Berkeley Springs took the 3-0 win by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-10.
Leading the way for Berkeley Springs was Fernandez (16 points, one ace and five kills), Clatterbuck (13 points, one ace and 20 digs), Fincham (eight points, one ace, one kill, 12 assists and 12 digs), Tuttle (10 points, three aces, six kills and 11 digs), Morris (six points, one ace, five kills, 16 assists and nine digs), Grace Sullivan (five kills) and Eva Jacobsen (nine kills).
Berkeley Springs (8-7) had an away contest on Tuesday, October 12 with Legacy Christian Academy and next up is and away match with Clear Spring, on Thursday, October 14 at 6 p.m.
