Jacob Eader
1947-2022
Jacob “Butch” Eader, 75, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Hospice of the Panhandle.
Jacob was born on February 4, 1947 in Dublin, Pa. to Jacob Eader and Lorretta (Waterball) Eader.
Jacob married his wife, Donna Jean (Morris) Eader on December 23, 1965. They were married for 42 years before she passed in 2008.
He worked at Hepburn Orchard in Hancock, Md. for several years and later retired at Fruit Hill Orchards in Winchester, Va.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing.
He leaves behind two sons, Kevin Eader and his significant other Tina Smith of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Keith Eader and his significant other Barbara Shirley of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one brother, Richie Eader of Pennsylvania, four sisters, Ruth Doyle of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Hester Mason of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Lorretta “Peachy” Stevens of Pennsylvania, Sue Brackett of Martinsburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren, TJ Eader and his wife Taylor Eader, KJ Eader, Jimmie Eader, Donna Jean Shirley and Becky Shirley; three great-grandchildren, Teagan Eader, Tinley Eader and on the way Tripp Eader and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Eader and Jerry Eader and two sisters, Carol Somers and Iva Shives.
The gravesite service will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Greenway Cemetery.
