Glenna D. Henry

1933-2022

Glenna D. Henry, 89, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 while under the care of Willow Tree Nursing Facility and Hospice of the Panhandle.

Glenna was born January 2, 1933 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late William Earl Wills, Sr. and Naomi Irene Whitford Wills.

She was a charter member of Calvary Bible Church in Berkeley Springs.

Glenna enjoyed helping anyone that needed rides to doctors appointments or to and from the airport. She was always ready and available to help others.

She loved being with her family, going shopping, going to yard sales and she always looked forward to going to the beach with the “Beach Girls,” Carol Whetsel, Dianne Yost and the late Pat Subasic.

Glenna graduated from Berkeley Springs High School class of 1950.

She retired after 27 years from the Morgan County Health Department where she was Registrar of vital statistics.

Glenna is survived by two sons, Charles S. Henry and wife Alice and Brian K. Henry and wife Flip; one daughter, Tammy G. Henry, all of Berkeley Springs; seven grandchildren, Heather M. Michael, Steven C. Henry, Kristy L. Truax and husband David, Aaron S. Henry and wife Hilary all of Berkeley Springs, Abraham I. Fost, Montrose, Colo., Jeffrey A. Stanley and wife Megan, Canyon Country, Calif. and Rebekah A. Guseman and husband Greg, Morgantown, W.Va.; one sister, Gail A. Kesecker, Berkeley Springs; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Charles Warren Henry; one son, David T. Henry; two brothers, William Wills, Jr. and Eugene “Gene” Wills.

At Glenna’s request there will be no funeral services and burial will be private.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 2065 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church Missionary Fund, 2065 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411 or to Saint Jude’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
