David Marvin Bell

1951-2021

David Marvin Bell, 70, of Hancock, Md., passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his home.

Born July 28, 1951, in Cumberland, Md., David was the son of the late Roy Marvin Bell, Jr. and Clara Jean (Imler) Bell of LaVale, Md.

David was previously a surveyor and spent approximately 20 years in the electrical trades. Known as “The Bike Guy” in Hancock, he loved playing guitars, riding motorcycles, was an amateur photographer and was an avid history/military buff. David greatly loved his first pet, his beagle, Dusty, and the numerous adopted cats he grew to love and spoil.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years: Kathy V. (Heavner) Bell, at home; his one and only loving daughter: Rebeccah Jean Bell, Cockeysville, Md.; and his brother: Mark A. Bell and wife, Janice M. Clise, Fort Ashby, W.Va. David also leaves behind numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and various friends. His quirky sense of humor will be missed by all of those who knew him.

A small, private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
