Darlene Ruth Carpenter, age 74, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, May 2, 2022 at her home.
Born October 14, 1947 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Russell A., Sr. and Georgetta Ruth Miller Kesecker.
She was a Christian.
Darlene was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and had been a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by three sisters, Linda Putman of Falling Waters, W.Va., Barbara Mills of Winchester, Va. and Sherry DigNazio of Martinsburg, W.Va., one brother, Russell A. “Junior” Kesecker, Jr. of Charles Town, W.Va. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bender Carpenter, Jr., three sisters, Sarah Jane McDaniel, Cheryl Kesecker and Maretta Kesecker and two brothers, Paul Kesecker and John Kesecker.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Services and interment will be private.
