1945-2022

Carolyn Hope Yost, 76, of Berkeley Springs, passed on February 5, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center.

Carolyn was born on April 29, 1945 in Richmond, California. She was the daughter of Robert Harmon Zuck and Mabel Ann Bowling.

After graduating from McLean High School in 1963, she went on to Marion College for one year.

Carolyn and her husband drove semitrucks together for ten amazing years. Those were the best ten years of her life. Carolyn loved Jesus; she was a Christian. Carolyn worked at Cacapon State Park and eventually retired at CVS. She had a love for butterflies.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Dayton Yost of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; three daughters, Tammy Burden, of Florida, Melissa Compton, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Melanie Fleece, of Maryland; one sister, Wanda Manley, of Florida; five grandchildren, Shawn Yost, Samantha Ammons, Stoney Lawson JR., Robin Michelle Capps, Alana Hope Compton and great-grandchildren, Harper Capps, Alyvia Capps and Colt Capps, Evan Yost, Giselle Mancebo, Veronica Ammons, Penelope Lawson; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Dayton Ronald Yost.

Viewing was Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1 p.m. Grave site service will be private and family only.
