Bruce Wayne McCoy, Jr., age 65, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, August 27, 2021 at WVUH East Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born October 11, 1955 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bruce Wayne, Sr. and Nora Louise Kipe McCoy.

He was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.

Bruce was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and had worked as a carpenter with the W. Harley Miller Company.

Bruce was a member of Risinger-Stotler V.F.W.#4019 and the Morgan County Line Band.

He liked to hunt, fish and play the harmonica. He loved his dog “Lizzie.”

Bruce is survived by his wife, Wendy Lou McCarty McCoy, at home; his children, Eric Wayne McCoy and his wife April, of Berkeley Springs, Jamie Allen McCoy and his partner Jaime Burger, of Warfordsburg, Pa., April Dee McCoy and her partner Vincent Branham, of Hedgesville, W.Va. and Travis Wayne McCoy and his wife Jessica, of Clarksburg, W.Va.; four sisters, Deborah Caraway of Lafayette, La., Diane Hayes of Inwood, W.Va., Louise Rainey and Sharon Corbett, both of Hagerstown; one brother, Steven Kinion of Downey, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Collin Wayne McCoy, of Berkeley Springs, Peyton Elizabeth-Mae McCoy, Jett Reed Burger, and Cason James McCoy, all of Warfordsburg, Abigail Candace McCoy and Finley Adam McCoy, both of Clarksburg and Miles Parker Branham, of Hedgesville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Kenny Mason officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.

The family received friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
