The 4th Annual Winter Fest Parade in the Town of Bath will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.
It begins at the Moose Lodge on North Washington Street and travels beyond the park on South Washington Street. Washington Street is the main thoroughfare in town.
The parade has 34 participants this year, said Danielle Swope, parade coordinator.
More than 2,000 people attended the parade last year. People dressed warmly and sat in lawn chairs. They covered the kids in blankets and caught the wrapped candy that was tossed from the floats, trucks and fire engine participants. Horns were honked and the kids squealed.
The tree lighting ceremony on the Fairfax Green will again follow the parade that officially kicks off the holiday season in the town.
