William T. “Bill” Fleegle, Sr., 70, Warfordsburg, Pa., died May 5, 2021 at UPMC, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Born December 31, 1950, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was a son of the late Emory and Hallie (Corbett) Fleegle.

Bill was a graduate of Hancock High School, Hancock, Md.

He was a former employee of Fairchild Industries, Hagerstown. He was a former co-owner and operator of Western Maryland Paving. Bill was employed as a corrections officer at Roxbury Correctional Institute for 13 years.

Bill enjoyed working on and painting cars, NASCAR, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle (Peck) Fleegle, who died in 1992; his second wife, Tina (Gordon) Fleegle, who died in 2016; a daughter, Melissa Shrader, who died in 2020, and a grandson, Toby Shrader.

Surviving family include a son, William T., Jr. (Lori) Fleegle, Flintstone, Md.; two daughters, Melinda L. (Kenneth) Hull, Hagerstown, Md., and Danielle Fleegle, Warfordsburg; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, Emory Fleegle, Jr., Robert Fleegle, Earl Fleegle, James Fleegle; two sisters, Cindy Revell and Beverly Line.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 11, 2021 in Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastors Larry Trail and Frankie Revell officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. Viewing was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Masks were required for attendance at funeral and viewing.
