1959-2020

William Ernest “Ernie” Broyles, Jr., 60, of Great Cacapon, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at WVUH Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg.

Born July 30, 1959 at Quantico, Va., he was the son of the late William Ernest, Sr. and Margaret Lane Broyles.

He attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon.

He attended Handley High School, Winchester, Va. and worked as a truck driver with Eagle Express Line.

He served with the U.S. Army.

He was awarded a 40-year certificate from the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ola Katherine Martin Broyles at home and his children, William Broyles III, Winchester, Va. and Lyda Broyles, Knoxville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 5371 Central Avenue, Great Cacapon, with Rev. Richard Craig officiating. Interment will be private.
