Washington County adds public meeting April 30 to discuss budget, tax proposal

The Board of County Commissioners have added another public meeting to discuss their proposed budget for fiscal year 2020 and a five-year budget outlook. That meeting was set for Tuesday, April 30 at 8 a.m. at 100 W. Washington Street, Suite 1101, Hagerstown.

According to the county, Washington County Government is planning for fiscal year 2020 and beyond with a five-year operation budget outlook.

“In preparation of the May 14, 2019 Budget Hearing, a thorough review of the FY2020 budget by line item will be presented to the board during the April 30, 2019 meeting,” county officials said in the announcement for the public meeting.

A May 14 public hearing on the county budget has already been set. The public is invited to attend and participate in the Budget Hearing scheduled for 6 p.m. on May 14 at Kepler Theater at Hagerstown Community College.
