1936-2018

Vivian Darlene Kuhl Strader, 82, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

She was born October 11, 1936 in Burnsville, she was the daughter of the late Minnie B. Spaur and Cecil Dan Kuhl.

She graduated from William Penn High School, New Castle in 1955.

She was a member of the Pike Creek Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday school and a member of the Newark Christian Women’s Club.

In 2002, she moved to Morgan County, where she participated in Daughters of the American Revolution events and Scarlett O’ Hatters Red Hat group.

She liked country music, Western movies, cooking, watching wildlife and was a history buff.

She is survived by her husband Franklin D. Strader whom she married on July 18, 1959; one daughter, Tricia Strader; one sister, Laura Soltis, Wilmington, Del.; one brother, Lee Kuhl of Florida and two nephews and several cousins. S

he was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Audrey Bean and an infant sister and two brothers, Landis Kuhl and Leland Kuhl.

A service was conducted Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m. at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods.

Burial was in the Posey Cemetery, Happy Hollow, Orlando.

A remembrance service will be held at a later date in Berkeley Springs.
