Tribe Golf Takes Third and Fifth

The Berkeley Springs High School Indians Golf Team traveled to the Winchester Country Club for a tri meet with Handley and Hedgesville on Monday, August 27.

Handley took the top team honors in the tri match with 166 points, Hedgesville was second with 186 and Berkeley Springs was third with 206 points.

Leading the way for Berkeley Springs was Jordan Miller (46), Carson Stotler (52), Sara Veara (53), Cole McClintock (55), Corbin Waugh (56) and Graham Lindsey (61).

Last Thursday, August 30 the Indians traveled to the Locust Hills Golf Course for a meet. Berkeley Springs finished in fifth place out of the seven teams participating.

The Tribe was led by Miller (92), Veara (99), McClintock (101), Stotler (108), Tyler Clark (114) and Waugh (124).

Washington took top team honors with 308 points. Jefferson was second with 340 points.

Next up for the Indians golf team is a home meet on Thursday, September 6 at the Cacapon State Park Golf Resort. The quad will feature Berkeley Springs, Clear Spring, Moorefield, and James Wood (VA) and will start at 4 p.m.
