Tribe falls on the road to Green Street Academy

The Berkeley Springs High School Football Team hit the road last Friday, October 19  for a contest in Baltimore, Md. against Green Street Academy. The Indians who came into the contest 0-8 on the season were still searching for that first win for first year head coach Chip Breeden. However, Green Street Academy decided to play spoiler down in Baltimore.
Green Street Academy scored on their first three offensive positions in the first quarter to grab a quick 22-0 lead.
Green Street increased the score to 36-0 by halftime.
In the running clock second half Green Street increased the score to 42-0 as the Indians continued to struggle with its offense.
In the fourth quarter, the Tribe finally got on the scoreboard as senior Spencer Bluebaugh who was inserted into the quarterback position due to injuries found senior receiver Ty’Jae Armstrong got open for a 15 yard touchdown reception.  Thompson then scored on the two point conversion run to cut the score to 42-8.
Green Street would bounce back and score once again before the game ended to make the final 48-8.
Berkeley Springs was led on offense by running back Payton Thompson who finished the game with 100 yards rushing.
The Tribe will be off this week and play their season finale on Friday, November 2 at home against Pendleton County.
