Tribe falls at home to Clarke County

The Berkeley Springs  High School Indians Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team hosted the Clarke County Eagles out of Berryville, VA in hoops action last Wednesday, December 12.
The Indians held a slight 26-22 lead going into the half. In the third quarter the visitors broke the game open with a scoring surge that saw the Eagles outscore the Tribe 26-12. The 26 point outburst was the difference in the game that propelled Clarke County to a 65-54 win.
Berkeley Springs was led by senior EJ Barkley who scored 19 points. Senior Payton Mann (12 points) and freshman Gavin Barkley (12 points) also were leading scorers for the Indians.
Junior Varsity lost to Clarke County 57-32 and the  Freshman Team lost 41-29.
Berkeley Springs was back in action on Monday, December 17 when they traveled to Grace Christian Academy. Then on Friday, December 21 the Indians will travel to Petersburg for a triple header with the freshman team playing at 4:30 p.m., JV Indians at 6 p.m. and the varsity following at 7:30 p.m.
