Timothy R. Barton
1958-2019
Timothy Randolph Barton, age 60, of Needmore, Pa., went to be with his Lord, peacefully, on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Winchester Medical Center, in Winchester, Va.
Tim was born October 9th, 1958, in McConnellsburg, Pa., the son of the late George Calvin Barton Sr. and Esta Marie (Everts) Barton.
He was a 1976 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, in Warfordsburg, Pa.
Tim was previously employed at Rayloc, in Hancock, Md. During his employment there, he made many good memories, and friends that have lasted over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen “Red” Barton; a daughter, Autumn Fox; a grandson, Landon Lockard; two brothers, Nelson and James Barton; two sisters, Christena Weller and Shirley Truax; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Calvin Barton Jr.
Tim was an amazing friend to many people throughout his years. He had a wonderful marriage and loved his family dearly. He had a special bond with his grandson, Landon, like none other, and he will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the Cedar Grove Christian Church, 5806 Flickerville Rd., Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Timothy Close will officiate.
Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., in Hancock, Md., on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., and at the church on Thursday, for one hour prior to the service.
