Two men and one woman were arrested last week near the Morgan/Berkeley county line on felony drug charges following an investigation by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Taskforce.
Law enforcement officers working with the taskforce served a search warrant at a Morgan County residence in the 600 block of Audubon Road in Hedgesville on Monday, December 9 following a controlled drug buy.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Cpl. T. E. Boyles, members of the taskforce worked with several individuals who had knowledge of a drug distribution network operating out of the Audubon Road residence.
Audubon Road is located off Mountain Lake Road near The Woods resort.
Following the controlled buy, a search warrant for the residence was granted by Morgan County Magistrate Kermit Ambrose, and officers located more than $3,000 in cash and several phones in the home.
Marcellos “Camo” Edens, 24, was charged with felony distribution of heroin and conspiracy to sell the drug. Edens is being held at the Eastern Regional Jail on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
Tammy J. Holmes, 33, of Hedgesville was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin. She is being held in lieu of a $100,000 cash-only bond.
Justin A. Davis, 36, of Hedgesville was also charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin. He is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
Sgt. M. Zollinger, also of the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Taskforce, sought a search warrant for the residence occupied by all three accused and allegedly used as a distribution point for heroin.
Court records indicate Cp. J.A. Padilla of the West Virginia State Police also assisted in the case.
Cpl. Boyles declined to provide additional information about the investigation or arrests.
