Tanouye sweeps 1600 and 3200 meters at Keyser

The Paw Paw Pirates Track Team ventured to Keyser last Thursday, March 29 to participate in a six team meet. Also participating were Berkeley Springs, Moorefield, Tucker County and Union.
Tucker County was the top girls team while the host Golden Tornado took the top boys team honors.
The Pirates boys track team finished in fifth place with 34 points.
Paw Paw was led by freshman Dominic Tanouye who swept both the 1600 and 3200 meters. In the 1600 meters Tanouye ran a 5:02. In the 3200 meters he ran an 11:13.55.
Paw Paw also got a second place finish from senior Hunter Kasekamp in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:12. Kasekamp then added a third place finish in the 3200 meters with a time of 11:21.
Matt Kidwell finished in second place in the long jump with a jump of 17’6”.
