Susan L. Engle

Susan “Sue” Engle, of Martinsburg passed away unexpectedly after a full life that ended much too soon. She was 59 years old.
Family has been the most important thing to her throughout her life. From a young age, Sue used to say that all she wanted in life was to raise a family. This became a reality when her first son Robert “Bobby” Cobb was born. In 1990 she married the love of her life, George Engle. They settled in Berkeley Springs, had two sons and two daughters, and eventually relocated to Martinsburg.
She had a warm and loving spirit. She was a devoted wife and mother who found much joy and amusement in raising her children. In recent years she has been thrilled to have grandchildren added to her family. Sue was an animal lover and always had animals in her life. She was especially fond of her parrot Polly.
Sue is survived by her loving husband George Engle of Martinsburg; her sons William “Billy” Engle, Benjamin “Ben” Engle, and Robert “Bob” Cobb; and daughters Rebecca “Becky” Rollison and Bethany Engle. She has three grandchildren: Matthew Cobb, son of Robert Cobb and his wife Suzanne Perry; Emmett Engle, son of Benjamin Engle and partner Heather Schnarrs; Scarlett Rollison, daughter of Rebecca and husband Matt Rollison.
A private family memorial service was held on August 20th 2018.
