Southern Fulton names top grads

The graduation ceremony for Southern Fulton will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The doors will open at 6 p.m.

Joshua Beale

The Valedictorian of Southern Fulton’s Class of 2019 is Joshua Beale. He is the son of David and Donna Beale. During his time at Southern Fulton, he has been the captain of the Varsity Scholastic Scrimmage team, Current Issues Specialist for the Envirothon team, a member of National Honor Society, attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. This
fall Beale  plans to attend Yale University to earn a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Drew Gordon

Drew Gordon, daughter of Donnie and Darlene Gordon of Big Cove Tannery, is Southern Fulton’s Salutatorian. She is the vice president of the National Honor Society and the senior class. She is president of Interact Club. She is also a member of the Spanish Club. Gordon also participated in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She is planning on attending Hagerstown Community College this fall to pursue a degree as an ultrasound technician.

Connor Elbin

Connor Elbin, son of Lance and Suzanne Elbin of Needmore, is ranked third in the graduating class. Connor has served as president of the Class of 2019, as well as National Honor Society. He has also participated in band, soccer, track & field and trap shooting. Elbin will be attending the United States Military Academy at West Point to receive a commission in the United States Army.

Nathanael Voight

Nathanael Voight, son of Gary and Lisa Voight of Collegeville, is ranked fourth in Southern Fulton’s Class of 2019. He is active in cross-country, track, Scholastic Scrimmage, Spanish Club, prom committee and the Interact Club. Voight also served as the treasurer of the National Honor Society. He is planning on attending West Virginia University in the fall to pursue a degree in Engineering.
