February started with an early morning storm that has been dropping snow on Morgan County since before dawn. Morgan County schools were called off today, Friday, February 1 as a predicted snowstorm moved into the area. Precipitation is expected to last into late afternoon, dropping anywhere from three to six inches throughout the region. The Morgan County Courthouse closed early due to deteriorating road conditions. Major roads in Berkeley Springs and throughout the county are covered in snow. Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the 40’s and into the 50’s as a warm front arrives in the area.
