Shirley R. Hanlin
1922-2019
Shirley Rosalie Hanlin, 97, of Paw Paw, died Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Berkeley Springs Center, Berkeley Springs.
She was born April 6, 1922 in Thomas, she was the daughter of the late Edward D. Nazelrod and Emma Margaret Cook Nazelrod.
She attended Paw Paw High School and furthered her education by enrolling in various courses and classes over the years, including writing studies.
She was a prolific writer. She played the piano, the mandolin and the guitar.
She was a homemaker and attended the Paw Paw Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Hanlin on September 5, 1983; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one brother, Daniel Nazelrod, Sr., Hagerstown, Md. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was held Thursday, May 16 at Kimble Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Eldridge Kerns officiated. Interment was at Woodrow Cemetery.
