Shirley M. Rowzee
1936-2019
Shirley Mae Rowzee, 83, of Paw Paw, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born May 21, 1936 at Paw Paw, she was the daughter of the late William T. Jamison and Mary L. Hutson Jamison.
She graduated from Old Town High School and attended Strayer University.
She had worked at Montgomery Ward and the Senior Life Center.
She was an active member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, where she served as a deacon and leader of Bible studies.
She served as financial secretary for the Paw Paw Fire & Rescue, was an EMT and wrote the community news for the Hampshire Review.
She is survived by her husband Paul DeWayne Rowzee whom she married May 5, 1956; two daughters, Twila Montessi, Slanesville and Selisa Noonan, Bristow, Va.; three sons, Michael Rowzee, Warrenton, Va., Douglas Rowzee, Ridgely and Robert Rowzee, Paw Paw; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Monday, June 10 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church. Pastor Darlene Powers officated. Interment was at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Kimble Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
