1960-2019

Sheldon Keith Younker, 58, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born November 9, 1960 in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Donald L. and Mary Viola Moats Younker.

He attended Beacon Baptist Church.

He attended Southern Fulton High School.

He worked for 37 years as a welder/fabricator at Fabritek in Winchester, Va.

He was an outdoorsman, like hunting, fishing, trapping and was a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine Crouse Younker, at home; his children, Roger Crouse, Donovan Younker and Tonya Gaither all of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Donna Snowberger, Waynesboro, Pa. and Carolyn Younker, Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, Arnold Younker, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; three grandchildren, Dakota Crouse, Avaeh Crouse and Olivia Crouse all of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Fleece and Marcella Hammond and two brothers, Clifton Younker and Marlyn Younker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 22 at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 12031 Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Scott Sheetz and Pastor Lloyd McCanna officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 today, Wednesday, August 21, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
