Scott D. Payne
1955-2020
Scott Dean “Scotty” Payne, 64, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his home.
Born in Berkeley Springs on July 17, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward Glen Joy Payne and Opal Wills.
He graduated from Berkeley Springs High School in 1974 and he served in the United States Marines.
He liked dogs, woodworking and racing.
He was preceded in death by his step father Johnnie Wills and one sister, Betty Omps.
He is survived by his daughter, Niki Matt; one grandson, Roland Matt; ex wife Mary Schrempp; two brothers, Larry Payne and John Wills and seven sisters, Glenda Weller, Vickie Mason, Anna Somers, Christine Whitacre, Melissa Whitacre, Kimberly Wills and Elizabeth Wills.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at the VFW, 4490 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
