Berkeley Springs High School golf team member junior Sara Veara played in the Callaway Jr. Golf Tournament last Wednesday, July 22. The tournament was held at the Greenbrier Meadows Course in White Sulphur Springs.
Veara shot an 80 for the day and finished in second place in the girls 15-18 year old division.
Last season as a member of the Berkeley Springs High School Team under head coach Dale McCumbee the talented golfer finished in sixth place at WV High School Girls Invitational with a score of 84.
This upcoming golf season Veara will look to bring home a golf state title and with the returning members of the Indian golf team chase the PVC and Region I Championships.
