Ruth A. Fox
1953-2019
Ruth Ann Fox, 66, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Friday, October 11, 2019 at Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born March 16, 1953 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lester “Bill” and Hope Blanche Hewett Cain.
She was a member of Bethel Independent Church where she taught Sunday School and attended Snyder’s Bible Chapel.
She was a 1971 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Valley View Nursing Home, War Memorial Hospital and lastly with Dr. Joseph Hashem.
She liked sewing, cooking and active with Joy-El Bible Adventure.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dwight David Fox, at home; her children, Kathy Lashley, Hancock, Kenneth Fox, Warfordsburg, Pa. and Kevin Fox, Hedgesville; two sisters, Carol High, Berkeley Springs and Connie Mitchell, Warfordsburg; four brothers, Charles Cain, Berkeley Springs, David Cain, Hedgesville, Dale “Bo” Cain, Warfordsburg and Bobby Cain, Mercersburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, Joseph Lashley and James Lashley, both of Hancock, Kalyn Fox, Leland Fox and Dayton Fox all of Warfordsburg and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Cain and her stepfather, Donald Stotler. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 15 at Snyder’s Bible Chapel, Hedgesville. Pastor Donald Dick officiated.
Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.
