Ruby I. Fields
1934-2019
Ruby I. Fields, age 84 years, of McConnellsburg, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Fulton County Medical Center with her family by her side.
Ruby was born in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. on Tuesday, August 14, 1934, daughter of the late Clarence and the late Anetta (Michaels) Hewett.
She married Jack D. Fields on November 26, 1953 at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in McConnellsburg, Pa.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 65 years Jack D. Fields of McConnellsburg; one daughter Rebecca (wife of Victor) Erickson of McConnellsburg, Pa.; one son Rex (husband of Denise) Fields of Hatboro, Pa.; three grandchildren (Nicholas, Brittany and Collin) and a soon to be great-grandchild in December of 2019. Ruby is also survived by three siblings, Joan Werdebaugh of Summerville, Fla., Eva Ruth Little of Wells, Mich., and Sylvia (wife of James) Johnson of Wells, Mich., and one sister in law Barbara Hewett of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister Nancy Jane Hewett and one brother Ray Steven Hewett.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 220 North Third Street, McConnellsburg, PA 17233 with the Rev. Neil Ray and Deacon Meredith Shives officiating.
