1946-2019

Ronald Lee Miller, 72, of Paw Paw, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at his home.

Born December 12, 1946 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lory Wayne Miller and Gladys Virginia Halterman Miller.

Preceding him in death were his sister, Ruby Fishel, in 2014 and his brother, Robert “Moose” Miller on May 29, 2019.

He is survived by – His sons – Christopher Lee Miller and his wife, Cindy of Austin, Texas and Matthew Scott Miller and his wife, Christie of Fort Worth, Texas and the mother of his children, Deborah Whitacre Ivy.

He retired after 44 years when the Federal Mogul plant closed down in 2013.

When he wasn’t working, he was very happy to be home. Never interested in travel, he was always willing to leave home for his sons. Whether it was a trip to an amusement park when they were kids, graduations, or flying across the country to attend their weddings, you knew he’d be there. Usually, his brother “Moose” would be right there with him.

The family would also like to thank Randy and Mitsi Fishel, as well as Neil and Linda Whitacre for all that they did to allow dad to be home during his illness.

The family received friends from 12 noon – 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, where a funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24 with Eldridge Kerns officiating. Interment followed at Woodrow Cemetery, Paw Paw.
