On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Ronald Hugo Myers, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 83.

Hugo was born August 22, 1937 in Berkeley Springs, raised his family in Brooklyn Park, Maryland, and returned to Berkeley Springs to live once he and his wife Linda retired.

Hugo was a devout member of the Church of Christ and a true family man, generous and kind, who was never idle when a helping hand was needed.

Hugo worked for Social Security for 33 years, retiring in 1993. In retirement, Hugo worked at his son Derrick’s company, preparing taxes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63-years, Linda McCabe-Myers; three sons David, Derrick and Troy; daughters-in-law Susan and Gail; five grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Abigail, Amber and Alex; five great-grandchildren Juliana, Cora, Reece, David and Adam “Hugo.”

Hugo was the son of Willis and Edith Michael-Myers and was preceded in death by one brother, Klingman Myers and one sister, Jo Anne Myers.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ, 290 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Joshua Hetrick officiating. Private burial was in Terra Alta Cemetery, Terra Alta, W.Va. Due to the distance there was no gravesite services.

The family received friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
