Roger L. Reed, II
1977-2020
Roger Lee Reed, II, age 42, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at his home.
Born July 22, 1977, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Roger Lee and Sharon (Avella) Reed, and the husband of Dawn R. (Stanley) Reed, whom he married in the Hancock Assembly of God Church on August 16, 1997.
He was a 1995 graduate of Hancock High School.
He was employed for eighteen years by C. William Hetzer, Inc., and more recently as an inspector for the City of Hagerstown Engineering Division.
He was a very active member of the Hancock Assembly of God, in Hancock.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by four daughters, Gabrielle R. Reed, Abigail M. Reed, Lydia N. Reed and Elise N. Reed; one son, Alexander Stone E. Reed; three sisters, Crystal L. Cheshire and her husband, Paul, of Hedgesville, W.Va., Stacy L. Reed and her companion, Charles Miller, of Hancock, and Regina L. Barton and her companion, Terry Hann, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; and seven nieces and eight nephews.
The family received friends on Sunday, January 19, 2020, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m., at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 North Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock, and at the Church one hour prior to start of services on Monday.
Funeral services were held at the Hancock Assembly of God Church on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Preston officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, in Hagerstown, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750, to help defray final expenses.
