Robert K. Moser
1939-2019
Robert Keith “Bob” Moser, 80, of Paw Paw, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the V.A. Medical Center in Martinsburg.
He was born March 8, 1939 in Paw Paw and was the last remaining son of the late Ralph Moser and Myrl Powers Moser.
His first job was in Hagerstown, Md., where he worked at his father’s gas station pumping gas and making small repairs. He later joined the U.S. Air Force in April 1959 and entered basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. He served until April 1963.
He was a truck driver for 36 years before retiring in 2002.
He also owned and operated Moser’s Sports Center in Paw Paw in 1975 and 1976.
He was a member of Paw Paw Harley Bohrer Post 128 American Legion.
He was an avid fan of the WVU Mountaineers, Washington Redskins and New York Yankees. He liked playing poker.
He is survived by one son, William Moser, Paw Paw; one sister, Carole Gulbronson, Selbyville, Del. and one granddaughter, Morgann Moser, Cross Junction, Va.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Moser and Tommy Moser.
Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, November 6, at 11 a.m. at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Slanesville with military graveside services conducted by members of the Cumberland American Legion Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
