Richard N. Keefer
1966-2019
Richard Nelson “Rick” Keefer, age 53, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center from injuries of an automobile accident.
Born July 7, 1966 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late George Alvah and Nancy Louise Smith Keefer and the late Solomon Michael “Jim” Keefer.
Rick was a Christian.
He was the owner/operator of Rick’s Tip Top Tree Service in Berkeley Springs.
Rick enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, he was a hard worker every day of his life.
Rick is survived by his wife of 14 years, Nannette Lynn Webb Keefer at home; his children, Charles Leroy “Charlie” Whittington, Jr. of Charleston, W.Va., Chasity Lynn Whittington, Jessica Kay Keefer, Amy Yvonne Keefer, all of Berkeley Springs, Brittany Michele Gordon of Martinsburg, W.Va., Chelsea Rianna Keefer of Mountain Home, Ind.; two sisters, Dawn Renee Warrington of Augusta, W.Va., Jenny Koogle of Hagerstown, Md.; two brothers, Michael Eugene Keefer and Jeffrey Alan Keefer, both of Berkeley Springs; eight grandchildren, Marissa Jade Keefer, Albani Nicole Cirigliano, Alyxandria Sophia Whittington, Myla Starr MacCumbee, Isabella Blair Guthrie and Liliana Rain Guthrie, all of Berkeley Springs, Claire Louise Jones and Ethan Donald Jones, both of Chambersburg, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, Rick was preceded in death by two children, Renee Nicole Keefer and Benjamin Thomas Griffith and two brothers, Earl Martin Keefer and George Alvie Keefer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Rev. Rodney C. Truax officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
